We want our players to have positive experiences playing hockey and are focussed on the fun and friendship as much as the hockey.

Hockey caters for every age, size and sex. It is one of the few sports where males and females can play in mixed teams and with a range of different abilities. We’ve had septuagenarians playing along side teenagers; what a great way to learn from those with more experience.

Our teas are great – if you’ve always felt your skills lie in the kitchen rather than the sports field, we’re the club to help you discover you can do both!

There are plenty of opportunities around the country to get involved in hockey – from coaching and umpiring to managing teams and taking part as an administrator. As we mentioned, it is a real community no matter what role you play.

With teams playing at a range of levels, we cater for lots of hockey needs!

We play all year, all seasons, and because it is usually played on synthetic turf, we only occasionally have an issue with unplayable frozen or soggy pitches. 

We’re more than just a club, we’re a hockey family.

Exposure to the best is on your doorstep. Despite representing GB and the home nations, many of elite players still play for their local clubs when they are available, which gives up and coming players the opportunity to watch, play with and compete against the best in the country.

Playing makes you more active, healthier and more confident. As well as burning some energy, hockey really gets the blood pumping which can make a big contribution in the classroom or workplace, with increased heart rate during exercise helping to improve brain function, thereby improving memory, creative thinking and teamwork.
