Policies and Procedures
Knowle’s club mission is to introduce players to the game of hockey, developing skills according to the aptitude and ability of each individual within a friendly and supportive environment. The Club aims to encourage a spirit of healthy competitiveness, providing opportunities for excellence whilst developing an enthusiasm for the game of hockey and the fun to be derived from it as widely as possible.
In order to do this successfully, we are affiliated to the West Clubs Women’s Hockey League and to the sport governing body, England Hockey. This affiliation means that the club and all it’s members, volunteers and supporters agree to abide by the EH ‘Spirit of Hockey’ Code of Conduct, England Hockey Board Equality Policy and SafeGuard initiative to create a safe and welcoming environment for all hockey participants.

Our Welfare and Safeguarding Officer for the 2024/25 season is Mary Appleton. She’s a regular attendee at training and Saturday matches, and can be contacted by emailing BeSafe@knowlehockey.co.uk
